Steps in the working framework

Curating is where theoretical claims are tested against lived reality. Over the past decade Li Yukun has taken part in more than thirty exhibitions as curator or academic adviser, working with close to two hundred artists, most of them at the margins of the official art system: community spaces, regional institutions, non-profit venues, and individual practices that appear in no art history. Every exhibition enters a single research framework — social reality, curatorial mechanism, artistic response.

A full project archive — exhibition titles, dates, venues, participating artists — is being systematically compiled and will be released on this site in stages. Project details and documentation are available on request.

Published

Further texts appear in the WeChat journal Yiyishu (呓艺术), all authored by Li Yukun.
